Justice League and Avengers
Nov. 23rd, 2017 10:52 pmFirst of all, I really enjoyed Justice League and if I had the time and money, I would see it multiple times in the theatre.
However, there were moments that reminded me of Avengers or other pop culture. It could be Joss Whedon. It could be tropes. It could just be that it's really hard to come up with new stuff...but I would still love to see a side by side comparison because some stuff felt like the same timing.
*Have scene where villain enters in a mysterious way and seems to mow down everyone else in the room. Bonus points if they have horns or if a sky portal/tower is involved.
*It may look like just a box but it's important, dammit! Bonus points if box was supposed to help with renewable energy.
*Leave it to the female member to bring in the most unpredictable member who believes they're a monster.
*Villain is or can be made into a '70s/'80s musical reference.
*We're like 30-40 minutes into the film and have had two major battles against villain? Time for a heavily muscled male with long hair who wields a farm implement from the 1800s!
*Team must argue about whether something certainly illegal would be for the good of humanity. Bonus points if they actually fight each other.
*Oops, the most powerful hero has turned on everyone else!
*If someone is possessed or not in their right mind, you should have the female team member fight him. Bonus points if a head butt or other head hitting is involved. Biting and hair pulling is fun but not required.
*Really, only a female can undo mental damage.
*You should totally have Russia because...Russia.
*One of the heroes should arrive fashionably late enough that others question whether he'll even come at all.
*Everyone should go their separate ways.
*You should have the rich member of the group rebuild a group headquarters at the end of the film with the whole team in mind. Bonus points if you show blueprints.
And if you couldn't tell:
Batman-Iron Man
Wonder Woman-Captain America
Superman-Hawkeye
The Flash-Black Widow -This is the only one that doesn't quite go.
Cyborg-The Hulk
Aquaman-Thor
