ericadawn16: (Confused)

I have three cameras: one is a 110 that requires a flash attached to it, another is about fifty years old and the one I had been using is a Vivitar purchased brand-new by my dad in 1977. That's right, it's five and a half years older than me...and I was laughed at more than once the last time I developed film from it. It actually takes two weeks to get my pictures back after turning in the film.

Since I have obsolete cameras and a phone whose battery doesn't fit like it should, I feel the smart thing would be to get a camera-phone. This is where I need your help. Have you owned these phones? Have you seen them in person? What do you think of them?

I have some criteria:

1. It has to be T-Mobile because I love them and refuse to change. No, I do not want a phone I have to unlock for the purpose of T-Mobile service.

2. It has to be a cameraphone, at least a 1.5 since the cheap cameras at Justice were 1.5. Also, I have to be able to email the photos to myself or put them up online.

3. It has to be easy to use without minuscule buttons and having to do a lot of extra stuff to call someone in my address book.

4. It HAS to be durable and by durable, I mean that I drop my current phone and iPod on a daily basis yet my phone is over four years old.

[Poll #1414919]

I'm going to leave it up for a week and then write down the top five to investigate at the mall to make sure it's simple to use as well as fitting my criteria. By simple to use, my mom has to be able use it.
THANK YOU!!!

The LGs do look pretty but none of them are offered at reduced prices through T-Mobile. I don't think I'd go with a Blackberry but I'd put them up there for comparison. They have very tiny buttons so I don't think they'd pass the next round of competition: physically playing with them.

The phone I have right now is a candy bar because I didn't trust myself with a flipphone. I could picture myself breaking it easily, but my mom has one and they seem to have improved the durability.

So, is that a vote for other then?

Hmm I'll ask my hubby for input if you like.

I would also look at reviews too.

Thanks, I have looked at reviews, but they're not quite the same as having the phone for weeks or months or more.

I definitely voted for the Blackberry *before* seeing the "simple to use" part. I take it back. I LOVE my blackberry, but it fails when it comes to being straightforward!

Okay, so what would be your second pick?

Ah, I've got no idea. I've only had two cell phones, an old Nokia that was absolutely awful (had it for years...) and the BlackBerry (I'm cheap and don't use the data plan, though. We won the phone in a contest).

I don't really have any useful advice. Good luck with the search, though!

My mom has a Nokia and she loves it. The buttons are easy to use and the camera is actually quite nice for what it is. She's had it for a few months now and it still works great, so Nokia gets my vote. :)

I'm gonna PM you my info. It's kinda long. (Worked in wireless for three years, so I have quite a bit of info.)
