I know that doesn't sound like a big deal. I used to go all the time especially when we didn't have a computer and then when I had the computer but not internet access. However, I got annoyed at the selection. I had read everything I could think of and it was frustrating having to wait.

Then, I started working.

So, it's probably been two or three years since I really perused the library and guess what happened?

They got BOOKS!

I'm so happy. When I walk into a well-stocked library, it's like a fat kid walking into a candy store: I want some of that. I need some of this. I've been wanting this one FOREVER! WANT THAT NOW!

Yeah, I can sometimes have addictive qualities when it comes to books. The first time I went to the MOSI library that specializes in SciFi, I got so many books I didn't have time to read them all.

Anyway, I walked out of my local library with:
Labyrinth on DVD
Primeval: Extinction Event by Dan Abnett
(I didn't even know Primeval books existed!)
The Wordy Shipmates by Sarah Vowell (Yay!!)
ghostgirl by Tonya Hurley
ghostgirl: Homecoming Tonya Hurley
Doctor Who graphic novel!
Torchwood: Rift War I've read it before, but it's Torchwood at my local library!
Doctor Who Companions which has all of them so I can learn more about Leela and Adric and all of them.

I'm already thinking about next time. I've got my eye on trying out Gossip Girl and Cirque du Freak. I've also never read Eldest, Son of a Witch or Flyte and I wonder if they have Horseradish or the Disney after Dark sequel...

:D That is exciting. I've only read the first five of Cirque du Freak, but I do like what I've read so far. I need to search for the other ones. Son of a Witch is just as complex and full of that wonderful, if dark, way Maguire has of storytelling has as Wicked.

Nonsense. Libraries and books are awesome. :D Which Doctor Who graphic novel is it? (Also, I envy you, as I don't think the local library here has any Primeval or Whoniverse stuff.)

The Forgotten...very cool where it had a little bit of all ten Doctors, but the ending was...strange.

Well, it never hurts to look periodically to see what your library has. Plus, if you annoy them constantly about it, they'll keep that in mind when ordering things...and most libraries can borrow from other libraries that do have BBC stuff.
