I also love seeing Steven Moffat's name on the big screen, hehe.
I wanted to read all the comics beforehand but it looks very daunting and the compendiums are very expensive. I think I'll have to see if the library can find any of their Juvenile copies.

Date: 2011-10-11 07:04 am (UTC)To read all the comics can be expensive, yes. You can begin with The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham'Treasure, the books which upon the movie is based.
Cigars of the Pharaoh/The Blue Lotus , The Seven Crystal Balls/Prisoners of the Sun , King Ottokar's Sceptre, The Calculus Affair, Tintin in Tibet and The Castafiore Emerald are fun too.
