So, did anyone else assume that Rumplestiltskin would end up having the same origin story as the Huntsman in 10th Kingdom?

Also, this weekend is free Showtime weekend and I LOVE the kid on House of Lies!

I don't think we've had a cross-dressing preteen since Sam in The Riches.

I honestly didn't see the origin story coming but I really enjoyed it.

I didn't, but at the same time, I found his origin story WOEFULLY incomplete. He didn't lose his boy. He actually gained power. So what is the big tragedy, so far? Somehow, he must have lost his boy.

Well, when they showed his type of position and how low he was and everything, I honestly expected him to gain the power and accidentally kill his son just like 10th Kingdom.

So far, that hasn't happened but it's interesting because it appears that he's lost his son emotionally and physically through his actions and the son being repelled by them.

Now, it's possible that his son runs away to war without his permission and dies or that Rumple will end up killing him later, but...

That would make me really disappointed. I think it's a lot more interesting to keep his son alive but with no desire to know his father anymore. It would be curious to know whether we've already met him.

We already know he's lost the boy somehow from what he said to Emma.
