Agent Coulson, Other Stuff

Mom and I had a plan for The Avengers. Toys'r'us in Brandon had just two dogtags left so we bought them to open after we saw the movie. She didn't care what she got and I wanted SHIELD because it had Coulson on it. There's so few Coulson merchandise.

Yay! I got the foil version. Mom got Black Widow which she was very pleased with. Then, the next night I got one of the trading cards packs. I assumed it would all be The Avengers but it actually covers all six films. All I wanted was a Coulson card and he was the very last card in my pack, hehe.
Here's how it actually broke down.
The Avengers- 16
Iron Man- 4
Iron Man 2- 4
Captain America- 3
Thor- 2
The Hulk- 1
Steve- 6
Tony- 6
Black Widow- 5
Thor- 3
Hawkeye- 2
Hulk- 2
Loki- 2
Betty the Waitress- 1
Happy- 1
Maria Hill- 1
Nick Fury- 1
Obadiah Stane- 1
Phil Coulson- 1
I was also very amused when my mom wanted to look at the cards and only commented on one; the Loki one above.
"Nice close-up."
On Monday, she nearly bought the MiniMuggs set with him and Thor but decided that the figure "didn't really look like him." She also thought about buying the Loki MiniMates set but had to ask me, "Who's Odin?"
Then, we went to Downtown Disney. YAY! It should be like Avengers Mecca, right?
Nope.
I think the Altamonte Springs Toys'r'us had more to offer in the way of merchandise. However, D Street did have Marvel Tokidokis for sale. They looked so cute so I bought one. They come in blind boxes like Vinylmation. Now, this is Marvel Comic Universe and dozens of different possibilities; everyone from Fantastic Four to X-Men to The Avengers. I only had one certainty: the character I'd get would NOT be Coulson or anything to do with him in any way.

Clearly, the universe is messing with me.

Date: 2012-05-15 07:04 pm (UTC)They're really rare here. Sometimes, Toys'r'us will have them but usually, it's just certain specialty retailers...
damn
Any Coulson ones?
Well, if it's written in Tom's handwriting, that wouldn't be so bad...
