Sometimes, Tumblr fails me...
Mom and I remember the scene in the film differently...that Ted was also wearing ears just like Yoda.
I also wanted a screencap/photo of Ted riding a German Shepherd. Of course, you can probably guess why...
Thor: I need a horse!
Pet Store Clerk: We don't have horses. Just dogs, cats, birds.
Thor: Then give me one of those large enough to ride.
Yes, mom and I went to Ted last Saturday but I think the better question would be, why wouldn't we see Ted?
It's Mark Wahlberg in a comedy AND a cute teddy bear, like Lotso, doing R rated things. No, I think Lotso was an inspiration here. Ted was given as a gift in 1985 and according to Pixar's history, Lotso debuted in 1983. However, Ted is a lot larger than Lotso and can only say "I love you" in his original form.
Ted was awesome. Of course, I will probably be extremely happy with any film that references Jurassic Park repeatedly and makes a whole subplot out of Flash Gordon.
*has Queen theme song in head*
I'm kind of getting tired of Joel McHale being the "go to" asshole. There was some insulting of Brandon Routh who I feel is under-rated and I liked his Superman but the film is HILARIOUS!
Ted even complains at one point that he sounds "nothing like Peter Griffin", lol. Even my mom thought it was funny and I can count on one hand the number of times she's seen Family Guy. There was also a part where I almost cried so beware...there is sad and sweet parts along with the 80s/90s pop culture and vulgarity.

Date: 2012-07-08 12:18 am (UTC)I was wary of seeing Ted at first. I was afraid it was going to be... not very good. I'm not really a fan of recent Family Guy episodes, and I thought this movie would be similar. But from what I've been hearing, Ted was actually pretty good. Now I'm eager to see it. :)
