Moonrise Kingdom

For months now, I've had to hear from those in New York and L.A. talking up Moonrise Kingdom while I wanted desperately to see it.
All I really need to know is that it's a Wes Anderson but everyone's been saying how good it is.
Last Sunday, I finally got to see it for myself and mom even came along. She's generally hit and miss with Wes Anderson.
It's everything they claimed it to be. I still love The Royal Tenebaums more but this is definitely one or his best films and more accessible to a general audience. My mom even thought the (nephews) would like it.
"Who throws a shoe? Honestly!" lol
Tang!
I was so disappointed that Suzy's books weren't real. I wanted to read them but Wes Anderson wrote all the passages. I just told mom and she also felt he should write the rest of them.
The lead girl has a thing about watching people through binoculars. She even says how she sees better from a distance but I did the math and she's too young to be Barney and Clint's mother...
However, her name is Suzy Bishop so I think in my head canon that she must be related to Katherine Bishop...
Also, I know he played Bruce Banner and all but if we ever discover that Coulson had a younger brother, he should be played by Edward Norton...
Please, please, PLEASE stay for the credits. In the film, Suzy's brothers listen to the old records that explained classical music, similar to Fantasia, and for the credits, they do this with the actual film score...narrating how each instrument is added to which movement. I loved it. I also loved all the Hank Williams Senior music throughout.
So, Wes Anderson had some childhood trauma with a dog, yes?
June 28 The Avengers
June 29 Magic Mike "We are either going to see bare or bear!"
June 30 Ted
July 1 Moonrise Kingdom
July 2 Seeking a Friend for the End of the World
I have done five of the six films so The Amazing Spider-Man should be up late tonight, late tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. Yes, my mom was on vacation last week.

I thought the books were real as well, boo - now I can't read them. Where the sister is reading to the boys reminded me of The Lost Boys and Wendy.
