Please God, don't let Romney win...

My plans for tomorrow are...

If Obama wins,
breathing a sigh of relief and moving on.

If Romney wins,
sobbing, having a long talk with God about what's expected of me, sobbing, watching inspiring films like Speed Racer, Chariots of Fire and Legally Blonde, sobbing with Jon Stewart, regrouping...

aka what I did in 2004.

At least the political ads have stopped, that's nice. In Tampa Bay, 1 of every 2 ads were statistically political.

Oh, and please God, have Nelson win. He's my only state-wide Democratic representative. When I write everyone else, they send me the same response back: Thanks for writing me but you're wrong and this is why...

I have been watching the politico map like mad. It looks like voter turnout is above what it was in 2008?

I think Nelson will win. Also, those amendments.... O_o

(Not in FL, but my first election was 2000, so it's one of the states I stare at quite a bit.)

I'm really glad you're not talking about moving to Canada if Romney wins. If that happens, god forbid, this country REALLY needs more liberals. that, and anyone who has the means to move to Canada /won't/ be personally affected by Romney, while those who don't have fewer people standing in solidarity with them. Even I won't be negatively affected if Planned Parenthood gets defunded or we get another crackdown on minors' access to abortion. I do, after all, have the means to get to DC or Maryland or NYC or even Canada to terminate a pregnancy, and I can bite the bullet and pay out of pocket if I somehow end up going on the pill. But there are so many others who will be, and if I can stay here and make things even a little bit easier for them, well, I can sleep a little easier at night.

I completely agree with your decision on how to spend tomorrow, especially the Chariots of Fire and Legally Blonde part.

I'd like to add that Paul Ryan scares me not just because of his politics and what he told Focus on the Family, but also because he looks like a Ken doll. Ken doll-pretty boys terrify me.

Oh man. Yeah. And I'm in a state with a DOMA on the ballot, so I'm extra-scared.
