Trouble with the curve

I never told you about trouble with the curve. So I was the only one under 60 watching and everyone else found the old age jokes HILARIOUS. I hope I never have to watch Clint Eastwood pee ever again.

It is a really stupid movie, really predictable. I guessed the end by the 5th or 6th scene. If it wasn't for the cast, I would have thought I was watching a lifetime movie. Two things really bugged me.

1. We know immediately that Mickey is a baseball nut but her long-term boyfriend doesn't?

Really???

2. Are you honestly going to ask the daughter of a baseball nut what her real name is? She's named after Mickey mantle, DUH.

Baseball jokes were few and far between...

I'd guessed it would be kind of dumb from the trailer, but hoped it would still be amusing. It's a shame that it's bad because that sounds like a great cast.

That's also really easy and cliche. Does it have to be a Yankees player? Really? They could have named her Tyra after Tyrus "Ty" Cobb or Alex after Grover Cleveland Alexander obscure reference FTW. But no, it has to be really obvious.
