Marvel, Whedon, this and that
Apr. 24th, 2013 12:04 amOur well went dry. :(
It's not to be surprised since Florida has no backbone about telling companies to conserve water.
However, it does mean that we have to get city water which means we have to get that all hooked up and because we are TWO BLOCKS away from the city limits, we had to get a building permit from the county.
There is a bright side...that Vogue with Tom Hiddleston as a contributor? It IS the US issue and the building permit office totally had it.
Actually, it was their ONLY reading material, hehe.
So, when we finally got home, the trailer was waiting for me. I have two further thoughts.
Odin: Some believe that before the universe there was nothing. They're wrong, there was darkness. And it has survived.
Umm, what are you talking about? I learned this 16 years ago, duh.
Rupert Giles: This world is older than any of you know. Contrary to popular mythology, it did not begin as a paradise. For untold eons demons walked the Earth. They made it their home, their... their Hell. But in time, they lost their purchase on this reality. The way was made for mortal animals, for, for man. All that remains of the Old Ones are vestiges, certain magicks, certain creatures....
I am so glad I'm not the only one thought this...Loki has now become the "lost creature" he made fun of...

Although it is sad that he ended up fulfilling his own fear from the first film, "So I am no more than another stolen relic? Locked up here until you might have use of me!"
Off-Topic...who did Odin steal the Infinity Gauntlet from then?
Then, I saw the Japanese Wolverine trailer. Oh Logan, did they send you to an Asgard prison, too?

Ioan Gruffudd was on Castle last night and it was AWESOME! However, my mom says she's getting tired of Castle "maybe because he's in everything". I'm still planning on dragging her to Much Aso about Nothing if possible and it has a new UK trailer that is way better...less Clark Gregg :(...but more actual dialogue and story.
Also, I'm torn between loving the Iron Man 3 credits scene in the UK and wanting Rocket Raccoon for us...
Either way, I'm more excited for the trailers and credits than the actual movie?

As much as I love that Giles quote, it's also... Pfft. What it alludes to as 'popular mythology' actually has humanity banished into the world from paradise, so duh the world itself was not it.
So overthinking, rightno subject
Date: 2013-05-01 02:54 am (UTC)Loki fulfilling the prophecy and being so broken after he was briefly king is rather tragic though kind of deserved. I am hoping the fall from grace might make him temporarily less maddened, like a wake-up call that he may need allies or another strategy before continuing.
I always saw the Infinity Gauntlet as begin won by Odin as a spoil of war in his younger days. Not from the Jotun, but from another Realm. Not sure which one as I don't know the canon of the movie world regarding the other realms.
Much Ado About Nothing looks very well done, but I would expect nothing else from Whedon.
