Kareem Salama

So, I'm a Southerner. I enjoy good country music. Someone on my Facebook just introduced me to Kareem Salama and I'm really loving his stuff.

He also happens to be the first Muslim country music singer. ;)

Thank you for sharing that. I have family members who are Muslim and i know from my youth--I was raised much like Freema Agyeman in a home with one Muslim parent and one Christian parent--how people can be. Of course in my teenage and young adult years people were more accepting--then came "Not without my daughter..."
movies. I actually read some articles about Britain's colonial period where the fear of multi-ethnic marriage was prejudice against culture and faith rather than complexion. although that played a part also.

I've listened to Arabic nasheeds and they really are lovely to listen to :)
