So, I think half the planet knows about this now. I'm sad about the lack of ginger or minority but happy because I know who Peter Capaldi is. I was annoyed because everyone was characterizing the Americans as not knowing who he is...some of us went to our independent theatres, Tampa Theatre, to seeIn the Loop...but then I ran into a number of friends who weren't familiar with his work...

So, I guess that was a fair assessment of Americans which makes me sad...

Yes, and he played Frobisher in Torchwood COE. I think it is good to have a little older Doctor, and he also has some of the look of Jon Pewtree. It will be interesting to see how he plays the Doctor and dresses. That is always the interesting thing about the regeneration.

I have to admit I wasn't aware of his work but I haven't seen those episodes of Doctor Who and Torchwood. I have heard of that movie "In the loop" but haven't seen it sorry to say. I am glad to see someone older in the role.

Yeah, never heard of him... but then, I'm not much of a BBC watcher.
