ayaneva suggested Freecycle to me the other day and I'm so glad she did!It's a wonderful website where you offer things you don't want or need anymore to people who could really use them! Or if you really need something, like a computer or vcr, post it on there and see if someone else could help!
It's all about keeping things that could still be useful out of landfills...an admirable goal. It's divided into local groups so there's no shipping, just meeting whoever at a public place to exchange the goods.
