I'm still unable to find a regular comic supplier since Marvel is no longer supplying bookstores with single issues. However, they do still receive graphic novels so I was able to read the issue that came after the last issue I actually found in Iron Man - Volume 3: The Secret Origin of Tony Stark - Book 2.

Has anyone else read this? Have opinions?

SPOILERS

So, Howard and Maria's unborn son was going to die (from unnamed complications) unless an alien intervened but the alien had his own motivations and changed the fetus into a being that would suit his plans later to destroy the universe...

Howard, being Howard, suspected something and also altered the fetus...

When the baby was born, it required an iron lung and still wasn't expected to live so he was shipped off to a nursing home away from the alien's reach and the Starks adopted Tony...

Yeah, I don't know...
I do love that they're still trying to find ways to keep things fresh and I am intrigued about whether he tries to find his real parents aka let the fanfics about Tony finding out he has a secret sibling he already knows finally have some canon evidence...

However, it also seems a little cheap. Tony is just utterly Howard and Maria, from his looks to his temperament to his vices and addictions. We also still barely got any Maria. I really love a comic, show or film where we're able to really get to know Maria and how she was the one to get Howard.

I also don't think I'll be adding this to my "Friends" story. I already thought I was pushing things to have Pepper be secretly adopted and then, there was Kate and now...yeah no.

Also, my mom is currently watching Iron Man 3 for the first time.

I don't know how you feel about having things shipped (and I don't know what their charges are for this kind of thing), but you could try Midtown Comics. They're in NY and they will probably ship to you.

Yeah, that's cool and if I only had one or two series I wanted to keep up with...
Plus, a local store said they would only do online orders if it totaled ten dollars or more.

But since I liked to read ALL of them basically...I'm keeping a list of the ones where I'd like to read multiple issues which I'll preorder on Amazon where I have gift certificates and individual issues that I'll look for whenever I do find an actual comic book store open.

I'd do the digital subscription but I hate reading them on PC and apparently, you have to wait six months for an issue to be available? That defeats the whole purpose to me.

Thanks for looking out for me though. :)

You're welcome. Midtown Comics is my go-to if I can't find a specific comic I want. They usually have what I need. :D
