I've been reading a lot of ONTD and mostly, I just like to stay out of things but sometimes, it would be nice to reply.

What do you think?
How do you become a member?
Can I just watch without actually adding it to my feed?
I don't want it to take over my Friends Page.

I personally would not follow the community. For me it is enough to occasionally click a link that I see. The community is too drama-fileld for me and they post so much that it would overtake my feel.

I don't care for it myself, but a friend is a member. She stays out of posts that seem like they have a potential for wank or SJW dogpiling and reads and comments on others.

You have to have an active journal to join. I believe you join it like any other moderated community: click the "join community" button and wait for a mod to approve your membership application.

ONTD sends out a lot of posts a day, so you might not want to add the comm to your friends list. But you can track tags for certain tagged posts.

to join, you go to the profile and click "join community". and it's moderated membership. you do get the option to add it to your friends page or not, and you don't have to, so it won't clog up your friends.

Don't follow ONTD. It will eat your friends page alive. Just bookmark it and wander over on occasion. I think they're still taking members. They closed it for a while. Just click join and wait to be approved.

Commenting is tricky. Avoid any discussions of race or religion or they will attack you, regardless of what you say.

I'm a member of ONTD but I don't have it on my friends watch page. I'm a member of a lot of comms like that actually, I want to be able to comment sometimes when I go and check them out but I don't want them eating my friends page.

I really only go into Marvel or Hiddles related posts when I see them on the front page. xD

I love ONTD and have been a member since 2009. I don't have it on my friends list but have it bookmarked.
