So, about a year ago, we went to the Wesley Chapel Toys'r'Us and what did we find? DW merchandise!!! They had the Daleks in Manhatten set, Cyberman masks, sonic screwdriver and two sets of actions figures, including the Regeneration set. It had been misplaced on the 9.99 rack, which I didn't know, so when it rang up 16.99, it was like, what??

Naturally, they sent someone out to go look while another employee over the Walkie-Talkie yelled, "Exterminate! Exterminate!"

So awesome...

Then, a few months later, they had the season four action figures, just one set, but still, I got Ten with cute, wittle, bitty baby Adipose for 14.99.

Also, the FYE at Countryside had an Ood figure which I'm guessing was all they had left of the whole season four set!

Now, last time we visited, neither had anything, BUT we are between series and toys so I'm hopeful that this is just a dry spell. The important thing is that if Wesley Chapel TRU and a Clearwater FYE can have DW merchandise, then living in the states is no longer an excuse. Any local TRU and FYE is capable of having this stuff or even, fingers crossed, Torchwood!! So, bug them, annoy them, ask them every time you come into your local establishment, "When are you getting Dr Who and Torchwood???"

Also, the TRU website is having merchandise from time to time. Right now they seem to be inbetween shipments, but when I checked they had Doctor Who Dalek Sec Mask, Doctor Who 6-Pack 5" Action Figures in Gift Box - Series 3, Doctor Who 12" Judoon Captain Action Figure and a Doctor Who: Season Three 5" Action Figure Manhattan Dalek which is on sale for just 2.98.

It definitely beats trying to buy things from overseas or paying those exorbitant Amazon prices! I looked up my Ten with Adipose figure the night I got it and they were charging FOUR TIMES what TRU charged, ridiculous.

Despite the popularity of the fabric department, walmart still got rid of it and the layaway...

So unless 300 people demand DW and TW I don't think we're going to see any in our area.

Well, that's Walmart, that's different, I keep trying to tell you that Walmart hates everything that is not money, including people and especially employees. Not enough people were buying fabrics and layaway made them lose money as well whereas making people get a credit card instead leads to more money when they can't pay off the whole amount.

But I suggested TRU and FYE, not Walmart, and I stand by those recommendations...I still don't get why Hot Topic hasn't picked it up yet either.

FFFFFFFF!!
I want an adipose doll too!
I heard about Toys R Us selling the merchandise last summer, and they didn't have any when I checked. I think I'll have another look there, and at Fye (our Fye has everything most of the time).

DW toys HERE?! I have enough trouble just finding new DW books! Never thought we'd actually be able to find toys in a regular store! Hot damn. I need to get my ass to TRU and FYE.

The Brandon Borders seemed to have all the recent DW books, I even saw Martha's compilation book of stories about the year that never was.

My Borders kind of sucks. I go to the large one in Center City here in Philly. They carry DW books but it just seems to take them a while to get new ones in. I think it's probably because it takes a little time to move the stock that they do have. I swear there's only like two of us buying the books. LOL

They've got a decent amount of Rose and Martha books but I'm more interested in the Donna books, which are a little harder to come by.

There's a Borders in Chestnut Hill that I should probably check out. Maybe it has a better selection.
