Did you know that the only reason that the Food and Drug Administration exists and we have food standards of safety is because of a book?

Today, Upton Sinclair would be known as a whistle-blower instead of a muckraker, but more importantly, if he were alive today...

Upton Sinclair would probably be in jail and his book declared illegal.

Agriculture corporations are buying legislation and legislators, making them pass bills to make it illegal to spy, record or even work for them under false pretenses.

They claim that there are trade secrets involved, but the truth is...they don't want consumers knowing where their food comes from and the true costs involved.

I remember that book! I always hope for a new thing like it to surface in the current times.

I was shocked recently to learn that all of this genetically modified food that is grown all over America now has entered the food chain, and while they say it's all perfectly safe, they're able to say it is perfectly safe without actually having done any safety testing at all.

It was up to an indepenent lab in Paris to feed soem GM corn to rats and monitor the horrific cancers they all developed, to raise a warning bell.

And of course the agcorps shut that lab down fast to shut them up.
