Phone Advice

I will be getting a new phone in the next year. Since I am staying with the same carrier, is it better to order it online from their site, buy it from their physical store, buy it from Best Buy or something else?

personally, I like playing around with the demo phones, so I'd recommend in store

it kind of depends on whether or not you know what phone you want to get. if you do, order through carrier. if not, i'd go to the carrier store. if i went to best buy, i'd do it to window shop and then order directly from the carrier. i feel like the warranty/return potential is more straightforward that way, as is transfer of service.

When I bought my GSII it was $200 cheaper at JBHiFi (electronic department store) than at the actual Galaxy store. So I guess... shop around?

I'd recommend looking in stores first to find one you like. Then check the prices online. Carriers often have competitive prices, but sometimes you can do a lot better buying elsewhere.

I've done all of the above. I find the phone I want, then look for the best price. My current phone was hugely less expensive from Amazon than from Verizon.

I usually buy in the store. But I would suggest playing with the phones both in the store and at Best Buy and then deciding if there's one you like. I know the store's selection can be limited. If neither place works then you might want to try online.
