I had wondered why Entertainment Weekly was so adamant about watching "The Girl in the Fireplace" for season eight, but it all makes perfect sense now.

Not sure about the making sense part, but if that is the episode I remember, I really liked it.
Was the girl in like the French Court or something like that? And he kept meeting her through the ages?
