Sometimes, I watch the New Adventures of Old Christine just to catch the episodes where he's shirtless.

Even in Avengers, you can see the suit straining against his arm muscles when he crosses his arms in some of the scenes.

Last night as I was watching, I couldn't help thinking...damn, that coat is horrible. Is it because they're supposed to be a on a budget now?

I guess so? Either that or he's wearing older coats because he's feeling really unsure of himself. At least in the Lego game Phil has a line about his suit being the only armor he needs. So maybe it's being like a security blanket, for lack of a better term?
