I love my computer. It's only needed professional maintenance twice and I've only used half the memory on it. I only tend to have issues when I'm trying to see whole conversations on Facebook or when I try to keep more than a hundred tabs open on my browser when I shut it down at night.

The corporations have other ideas naturally. It appears that my computer is now a dinosaur because it just turned FIVE. At this point with my last computer, I've had to reinstall the OS along with everything else. This hasn't been the case with this one. Still, Best Buy refuses to let me renew my Geek Squad protection and Real Player said I couldn't have the newest version...because I still have Windows Vista.

My goal is for my computer to at least make it to SEVEN like my last one but I really feel like it should be fine until NINE or TEN.

Then, I might get a tablet instead.

Is it sad that I don't remember when I got my computer? :o
I am guessing it's got to be pushing 10 years. :o
Every once in awhile I think about getting a new one, and then I can't justify the cost. lol... Especially as long as this one is plugging away. :)

Mine just turned six and recently seems to be developing a mind of its own. It's mostly okay but one day the sound turned off by itself. I'm hoping it will last a bit longer though.

Are you able to re-install the hard drive or has that already happened?
