The Night Manager

AMC is going to have a 6-8 episode miniseries starring Tom Hiddleston as a British soldier turned night manager who gets thrown into international espionage and agrees to work for British intelligence!

It's based off a John le Carre novel and produced by the same people who did A Most Wanted Manwhich was really well done!

Even better...

it also stars Hugh Laurie! I don't know if he's his handler, the bad guy or a third option but I don't really care as long as I get Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie in scenes TOGETHER!

When it was first announced,  it didn't have a US channel so I assumed that PBS or BBCA would get it which would mean all kinds of censorship. Man, I miss the 90s when PBS would show all the nudity and curse words. However, with AMC, they basically have all the language and nudity short of penis or bush.

The only disappointment is not having a date to look forward to.

I assume this is on the BBC in the UK, but I haven't heard anything about it. Maybe it's ITV or Channel 4...

BBC1, it's going to be a joint venture...thus easier on the BBC pocketbooks.

I doubt we'll hear anything more until filming. Hiddleston is still filming his Hank Williams film right now.

I may have to join you...AMC and Directv are fighting over a contract dispute.

I still have to watch Deep Blue Sea. I keep thinking they're finally showing it on Satellite and it ends up being the Samuel L. Jackson one instead.
