I spent $15 over my budget but the sales! and everything looked so good!
So this was the outcome...

2000 AD SciFi Lunacy and Brain-Scrubbing Action
Well, I read them. Judge Dread was not how I imagined him and hard reading.
And Then Emily Was Gone
It looked interesting but too much horror for my tastes.
Attack on Titan
I still can't get into it but I do feel like I understand a lot more for when my nephews talk about it.

Almost everything Avatar is good.
Batwoman #1
I really liked this.
Birds of Prey #1
I should have given that show another chance. This is good, multiple female characters, passes the Bechdel test, I like it.

Maybe? I like that a female appears to be the protagonist.
Bob's Burgers
My mom is a bigger fan of this show than me but it was enjoyable and it was the second free comic to explore life as a horse in a human world.

He's adorable and it's hilarious while keeping some adult references.

It's all Simpsons and my favorite was Lisa imagining everyone in Ancient Egypt complete with wrathful Gods. ..but no Isis, hehe.
Boom! Ten Year Celebration
Okay, I was a little disappointed at not getting a hardcover this year but I love their stuff. Plus, this year had Lumberjanes and Munchkin. Man, now I understand the hype with Lumberjanes!

I have a friend who loves him and now I understand why. I'm going to approve of just about any character who makes a Calvin & Hobbes reference.

Yes, Canada did make their own Captain America and I only care about the B characters...ooh, Tatiana Maslany voices one in a cartoon. I must find this.

This is just the setup but it's cute. I'd pay for it and not just because the author was there to sign my comic.

This is actually intriguing. Incognito Clark Kent was hilarious, I really wanted to know more about Lois and the Wonder Woman plotline was also interesting.
Doctor Who
I was so excited about this one! It's a proper comic with a different story for the last three Doctors! and 11 is co-written by Al Ewing! 11 did have the best stories but I loved the companions of 10 and 11: Gabriella Gonzalez and Alice who are both women of color. There's also an interview with Paul Cornell.
Eternal Soulfire/Fathom Blue
I might have missed out on others because I thought Worlds of Aspen was the comic name. Oh well, I liked the dragons but didn't care about the rest of it.
Fight Club
I think I would have guessed Chuck Palahniuk without it being on the cover because Clark Gregg did such a fantastic job adapting Choke that I recognize Palahniuk's style now.

Both have EXTREME CUTENESS!

I like the idea of exploring the minority experience but the female representation is awful and with what the author said about Kamala Khan online, it's even more obvious now.

Is Valeria going to play this big of a role in the event? If so, I might need to buy more issues than I thought. I love her. ..I just wish we could actually have her, on tv or in film. There was also a Crossover with Attack on Titan, not my thing.

I love Teen Titans and watch it on Cartoon Network but I can't picture myself ever paying money for the comic. I might break down one day and buy Raven though. I love her.

It's cute but definitely aimed toward a younger audience and might work best as short videos.

These are actually really good and always have a good focus on females.

I loved them both so much, hilarious! I no longer fear monochrome comics, they're just as good! plus, Kate Beaton did a comic Crossover with The X-Files and Jane Austen! Why did no one tell me about this before?

Thanatos Diver/The Stuff of Legend
Thanatos Diver has a nice color scheme and a female protagonist but I still felt like it could have been better. The Stuff of Legend is beautiful, great concept but I get too concerned by Toy Story and these toys are in way worse situation.
The All New, All Different Avengers
Well, I loved it. I also love the diversity of both the Avengers team and the new Inhumans.

The Walking Dead: The Rise of the Governor
I won this in a raffle so never underestimate the odds of winning a raffle.
I have never had interest in The Walking Dead. I did have a problem with zombies but I think I'm cured. People told me that the Walking Dead was really more about the people than zombies and they're right. It was mostly about people that I grew to hate and rooted for them to die a really horrible death to be disappointed when it generally didn't happen.
I'm not sorry about reading it and I am good with zombies now but I don't want to see the show.
Transformers
The Transformers go to an amusement park, lol.
Valiant 25th Anniversary Special
I wish I liked their stuff more.

Natasha decides to take Crystal out for a night on the town since she's been a full-time mom to Luna who's just a baby. Naturally, it doesn't turn out well but Natasha and Crystal being awesome together?

They're cute and the story is hilarious except I felt sorry for the Penguin. He should join PETA.
Fallen Son: The Death of Captain America #3
Eight hours into the day, I really should have eaten a second protein bar because I was starting to get brain dead. There was this awesome place in Brandon, Read More Comics, with 98% of every graphic novel or trade ever published. I'm not kidding. There were thousands. In the front is a tent with boxes of comics 50 cents each. I was looking for Ody-C #1 when I saw a cover with BOTH Hawkeyes. I immediately put it in my purchase pile without comprehending which issue this is.
It's the very first time Clint meets Kate but she doesn't know it's him!!!!! YES!!!!!
It's also where Tony makes Clint get dunked in the Bacta tank and Clint is temporarily Captain America, SUCH AN AWESOME ISSUE!

It was just as awesome as I was expecting especially #2 with Kamala! I loved that Phil had been trying to protect her and I wish the show would keep Simmons backstory with Roxxon.
Also, they confirmed that Phil and Wendell Vaughn did basically have the same bedroom which I really liked.
Plus, Valkyrie because there really isn't enough of her and she's awesome.
I also love the Fitz cartoons at the end of each issue.

Jurassic Park: Redemption
Tim and Lex Murphy are ADULTS! and I think she might be in charge of that universe's version of Monsanto while he's trying to open his own version of Jurassic Park with ONLY herbivores. Also, there's this guy that mom and I thought was a dinosaur masquerading as a man but he's just incredibly scarred from a previous dinosaur attack. However, I think it makes sense that if you would use human DNA in a dinosaur, then you would experiment with Dino DNA in a human especially for medicine.
I still want to know what happened to all of Ian's kids especially Kelly, plus Sarah and Nick van Owen.

Marvel 1602: Spider-Man
I love the 1602 books so much! Plus, Connors as a Velociraptor!
Hawkeye and the Young Avengers are joining 1602 and I'm so excited! This will be the first event comic I'm buying new!

She's just so...AWESOME! She writes fanfic and she's a huge fan girl but she's 14 and has all of that going for her but she's also a Muslim and dealing with that and her fairly strict parents who are immigrants. It's just...AWESOME and AMAZING.

It was just as awesome as I was expecting especially #2 with Kamala! I loved that Phil had been trying to protect her and I wish the show would keep Simmons backstory with Roxxon.
Also, they confirmed that Phil and Wendell Vaughn did basically have the same bedroom which I really liked.
Plus, Valkyrie because there really isn't enough of her and she's awesome.
I also love the Fitz cartoons at the end of each issue.

Jurassic Park: Redemption
Tim and Lex Murphy are ADULTS! and I think she might be in charge of that universe's version of Monsanto while he's trying to open his own version of Jurassic Park with ONLY herbivores. Also, there's this guy that mom and I thought was a dinosaur masquerading as a man but he's just incredibly scarred from a previous dinosaur attack. However, I think it makes sense that if you would use human DNA in a dinosaur, then you would experiment with Dino DNA in a human especially for medicine.
I still want to know what happened to all of Ian's kids especially Kelly, plus Sarah and Nick van Owen.

Marvel 1602: Spider-Man
I love the 1602 books so much! Plus, Connors as a Velociraptor!
Hawkeye and the Young Avengers are joining 1602 and I'm so excited! This will be the first event comic I'm buying new!

She's just so...AWESOME! She writes fanfic and she's a huge fan girl but she's 14 and has all of that going for her but she's also a Muslim and dealing with that and her fairly strict parents who are immigrants. It's just...AWESOME and AMAZING.

I'm also enjoying the new Star Wars series. I'm reading the main one, Darth Vader, and Princess Leia. Not as interested in The Last Padawan one.
Amethyst is cool. I got it back in the day, and I quite liked it back then.
I got hooked on Gotham Academy and Gotham by Midnight. They both started around the same time. Very different series, but with very distinct visions.
