That's what I really wanted for the 3rd one, he joins Elizabeth and becomes a pirate by his own choosing instead of circumstances.

But no, they had to fridge him to give Elizabeth more emotional pain!

True. :-/ Sad really. I wanted him to take over The Flying Dutchman. That would have been cool! There used to be some really good fanfic on that around once...

A lot of people wanted him to be the Captain and it would have made sense but...
It sounded like such a lousy job that I didn't want Norrington or Will to do it...if it's that much of a punishment, make Beckett or someone do it.

I'd rather have James alive as a pirate or maybe settling down on some small island and being governor himself. One thing I do remember about the fourth film is that at the end, they mention having to talk to a man with goats...I liked to imagine that was James...he was handed a goat in DMC.

Especially since we got Coulson back, it's just like...so why can't we have Norrington and Ianto then?

LOL I just realized that not only did I join Photobucket to post a Norrington picture but I joined LJ to post an adult Norrington fic and my first Youtube upload was a DMC news story so Norrington seems to responsible for me getting out more on the internet.

I like Will as The Captain! He has a lot of the qualities needed, I feel. :-) Helps that I'm a sucker for angst to. X-D

It would have been nice to keep Norrington alive to, of course. But sometimes I wonder how that would have worked out. So set in his ways... and so stubborn about Elisabeth...

And hey, Norrington could be guilty of worse things. ;-)
