It may be the cold medicine and/or flu talking, but Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, this sentence is one the greatest I've read in awhile.

"Thank God!" I ejaculated from my very heart.

Watson FTW!

Reading Sherlock Holmes is more amusing than people would think. He uses that verb more than once, too. :D Which reminds me that I have yet to finish those stories...

The Sign of the Four

I've owned The Lost World for years so I always thought I should read Sherlock Holmes. The movie was definitely extra impetus. Then, I saw a 1904 edition in decent condition for five bucks and thought, why not? I was such a newbie that I didn't realize the included stories: A Study in Scarlet and The Sign of the Four were the first two stories where they meet and take up house together.
