Juice and Soda in the UK
Mar. 4th, 2011 01:44 amSo, my mom and I were at Epcot last week and this was on a chalkboard that they use for trivia questions in various places:
What do people in the united kingdom call soda?
Naturally, we were intrigued. We'd assumed they called soda...sods so we asked the nice lady from Scotland, who sounded just like Amy, what soda is called. She said "pop" which was bizarre. Pop, just like a Northerner! Then, she said some call it juice which is even more bizarre still. How does that work? If I asked for an orange juice from that person, would I wind up with a Fanta?
