BBCA News and Top Gear
May. 22nd, 2011 09:56 pmSo, BBCA used to have news from 6-8 AM and 7-8 PM. When I'm forced against my will to be up at 6 AM, I'm not going to be watching news. I'm going to be watching Angel on TNT. The other day was the one where they first move into the hotel, aww, good times, anyway...
I used to watch the evening news from time to time. Then, they dropped it and said to watch on PBS. Fine, I could do that unless...you use that extra five hours a week to show something awesome like Coupling or My Family or something else upbeat that you haven't shown in a while.
So, what do they decide to do with those extra five hours?
MORE TOP GEAR!!!
WTF? Is Jay Leno paying you or something? I'm so sick of that show.

How I Met Your Mother from earlier this season:
Ted: The main character is a young spoiled prince thrust into leadership after the death of his father. It's obviously a modern day retelling of Henry IV.
Zoey: Are you kidding me?! It's Don Quixote - the classic quest story with the hero jester and his long suffering manservant.
Ted: Okay, clearly, when we're watching Tommy Boy, we're watching two different movies.
Lily: Marshall and I have been together 15 years and the only debate we've had about Tommy Boy is whether it's awesome or super awesome. That's love, bitch.
I LOVE Tommy Boy. It's one of the greatest comedies ever made.

At World's End
May. 22nd, 2011 10:51 pmBecause some of my problems with At World's End did creep up again, here are the links to my original two reviews back in 2007:

Boys wear nail polish, too!
May. 22nd, 2011 11:07 pmSome of you might have seen this on the news or The Daily Show but this is a real ad by J Crew:

The caption reads:
"Lucky for me I ended up with a boy whose favorite color is pink. Toenail painting is way more fun in neon."
I think it's awesome. Most if not all of my nephews have shown up at our doorstep or appeared at their house with nail polish, usually on their toenails. They might not have been as old as this boy but when you're around your mom a lot or your mom wants to know how a color looks...well, it happens and it doesn't mean anything. As for pink, well...even I was chastised the other day by coworkers that pink clothing doesn't necessarily mean the girls section...
