So, we saw Wreck-It Ralph. On one hand, I was kind of scared that it would be bad but then, I was also excited because it's video games and not just the new stuff but ALL OF IT. I was first raised on an Atari 2600...THAT is old school to me.

To make me feel even more for Ralph, he was also born in 1982. I love Felix since he's cute and Jack McBrayer but Ralph is our protagonist and played by John C. Reilly, who depending on the role, I either have warm feelings for or find very hot especially in Cirque du Freak with the long coat...

Long coat... (drools like Homer when thinking of donuts)

Ralph is very sad. He lives in a dump. The other people in the game hate him. The other video game characters think he should just accept his fate and move on which is both smart and the stupidest advice EVER. I thought everyone would be a licensed character from somewhere so I'm wracking my brain at every moment, wondering where people are from...and I read an article and they're not...
Some of the characters are completely original, like in the support group, which disappointed me because you have so many games to choose from that it doesn't seem necessary. They could have had Harry from Keystone Kapers or something.

Anyway, I was kind of frustrated because I just wanted them to listen to Ralph and his issues and I knew that his quest wouldn't end well. I did love the actual perspective where the screen was really a glass they could see out of. They could see their surroundings and the player playing them.

I wanted to Sugar Rush to be a real game. It was so damn pretty. I wanted to eat everything, like if Willy Wonka had created his very own world for all of his candy creations.

So, Vanellope... )
