As funding is taken away from Planned Parenthood and other lawmakers attempt to legislate our reproductive organs, one question keeps coming to mind for me...

Where is Gloria Steinem?

I remember in 2004 when she appeared at an event in conjunction with Planned Parenthood and she spoke with such passion, such fervor about both the organization and the important role of women in politics. It was truly inspiring.

I'm not sure I've seen her since she was on The Colbert Report last year. I hope she's not sick. I know she wasn't at the Oscars but I didn't really expect her to go anyway.

She's fine -- she was just on Real Time with Bill Maher this past Friday night talking about the very subject you brought up (and with her usual, awesome passion). It sounds like she's still doing plenty -- just possibly not getting the kind of media coverage (or seeking it) that she used to.
