Roseate Spoonbills

Yay, we finally had Spoonbills again! It's been forever.

They'll probably be gone tomorrow.







Do you know the craziest place I've ever seen a Roseate? It was the retention pond at the Target at the intersection of Gandy and South Dale Mabry, that bird must have been very, very lost.

Has anyone ever seen a Scarlet Ibis? I saw a flock years and years ago at Lettuce Lake and that's been my only sighting.

Also, WB just sent me an email with the subject, "Up to 50% Savings on Harry Potter Gifts, Delivered by Owl. Plus Free Shipping!"

First, I thought, Yes! Then, I thought, if it's delivered by Owl, can I have Craig Ferguson?

He plays Owl in Winnie the Pooh on Friday, but inside it explains it'll be plain old Muggle delivery after all.

Hey! Thanks for asking. I loved it and can't believe HP is over. I got quite verklempt over the portions that featured Snape. His unrequited love for Lily just breaks my heart. Although the movies have to cut from the books, I'm amazed at what a great job they all did of not only telling the story, but also of capturing the mood, tone and soul of the books.
