Yep, I saw it last week, finally getting around to the actual post.

No, not Bucky, that was obvious. No, I was upset about Stanley Tucci. I mean, I suppose it should have been obvious but I was basking in the wonderful feeling of Stanley Tucci in a superhero movie!!! It's never happened before although I just found out about Gambit which will be him, Alan Rickman and Colin Firth together!

*passes out temporarily*

But still, I was pretty pissed about killing off awesome Stanley Tucci even though it was the whole Hero's Journey, killing off father figure/mentor requirement.

So, I need to watch Thor again, I got all concerned that they had the cube in Thor and I'd forgotten. Now, I've been shown it was just in the post-credits scene where I was concentrating more on, "No, Loki, don't kill nice Bootstrap! I liked him here!"

I was watching The Duchess the other day and I think Harry Potter has ruined Ralph Fiennes for the time being. My mom agrees. He was all annoyed at Keira Knightley for sleeping with Dominic Cooper and it's like, Well, I certainly wouldn't want to sleep with Voldemort...

I'm hoping it goes away because I was always a fan of his work beforehand. Also, I think the Captain America casting people really liked the Duchess since they cast both Dominic Cooper and Keira Knightley's confidant as the best roles in the film, Howard Stark and Peggy Carter .

I wanted more with Peggy. I even thought maybe they changed her into being Tony's mom but I forgot they did mention Maria in Iron Man 2. I'm not that familiar with Captain America. I was more of an X-Men girl so when I found out that Peggy drops off the face of the earth basically after his plane crashes...that was freaking horrible. I know that would be expected for back then, but she's awesome, can't she have further adventures without him? Her and Howard and the rest of the group, like Jim Morita?

Apparently, we're supposed to be satisfied with her niece or whatever. Also, I want some sort of adventure, which will probably have to be fanfic, about how Howard and Maria meet, what she's like, how she gets him and which aspects of her have been passed onto Tony because as it stands, he's a lot like his dad.

I wish they had cast Red Skull differently, it was distracting. I love Hugo Weaving but the make-up and the German accent, just...no. I'm so sick of the film industry having this mentality of "We need some Germans...I know! Let's hire some Brits! They can do accents!"

I know Hugo is technically African but close enough and you have Toby Jones and Richard Armitage and it's just...really? You couldn't find any actual Germans who can act? I know they exist.

Also, I may have watched Harry Potter on ABC Family a little much lately. Toby Jones' facial expressions kept reminding me of Dobby. I didn't realize how much they had tried to make him similar to his voice.

So, Steve's super metabolism that breaks down alcohol before he gets drunk...is that what Rusty was trying to do on Torchwood recently when Jack was so overjoyed at being able to get drunk? I suppose that worked for first-time viewers better. It was very comedic but Jack certainly seemed drunk when Torchwood lesbians found him and if he can't get drunk, then what was the point of drinking water so he would always be "ready" for the Doctor to come back?

Another good reason to learn how to swim? So you don't slow Captain America down! I loved the kid and the USO montage.
