A little less than fifteen years ago, my mom fell hard for a little British film, The Full Monty. It wasn't hard to see why. It had a very funny, terrific script of likable, realistic characters played by the then unknowns of Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy and Tom Wilkinson. Luckily, all these years later, they have finally come to be recognized and be cast in huge hits with international acclaim.

Still, you have to see this because it's so wonderful. Here's one of my favorite scenes:

Especially for you Robert Carlyle fans, I'm sorry but I lose a little bit of respect for you when you admit to never having seen it...

Did you ever get a chance to see the US musical version? Also quite good. I wondered if they had to have someone sit in every section of the theater to get the lights just right for the ending number!

No, I have not. The Patrick Wilson one is up on Youtube but that'd be too weird. My mom was always like, "It wouldn't be the same".

Well, they totally created an original soundtrack for it, so it's awesome in its own right (rite?)
