Iron man 3

Okay, I'm back.
I've been a fan of the x-files for almost fifteen years. I have seen every show. When you ask me about the creepiest, worst monster/villains they ever had, I'll mention Eve, the bugs, etc.
Honestly, there was a villain that creeped me out so badly, that terrified me so thoroughly that I like to pretend they never existed: the aliens in the last few seasons that could not be killed; not shot, not decapitated, not even ground up in a garbage truck. They just reattached their body parts, grew new ones and went on with their mission.
iron man 3 essentially has these same villains except with much better graphics! Basically, let's make me even more squeamish.
Then, they had that moment with the falling into the fire and i knew it would all work out in the end but I still wanted to vomit like the first two times I watched Coulson die in The Avengers.
There were a lot of things I liked about it, like all the references to shield and the avengers. His glove was totally Black Widow inspired and I loved showing he could kick ass without the suit. I'll write more later this weekend.
I definitely love iron man 2 the best. I can't decide yet about whether I like the new more than the first one yet; a lot of plotholes, extremely creepy villains and no Coulson...not even in the tri-movie credits montage.
However, you MUST stay through the credits!!!!!
That was one of my favorite scenes in the whole movie.

Date: 2013-05-03 07:20 am (UTC)I got a kick out of seeing Tony having to do without the armor, and showing off his mad martial arts skills. I wonder if he's been training with Natasha and Clint?
I was really going along for the ride, and wasn't seeing any plot holes. I'm sure I'll start catching them on the next viewing. I would've liked to know more about why what happened in The Avengers affected him so much, but I guess since they had Tony keep dodging the question, they figured there was no point to that. I will say that I thought Tony's motivation to go after the Mandarin was as much about losing Coulson as it was about what happened to Happy. I think his great need to protect Pepper goes to that as well, in addition to the fear of another alien/supervillain attack. Wonder how pissed Tony's going to be when he finds out Coulson's alive? (Because we know he will be!)
