So, Jack's dad is named Franklin...
Jul. 16th, 2008 11:16 amHere's my crazy theory:
At first, I thought it was weird that Jack's dad would be named...Franklin because it's so normal, but then, I remembered one of the most famous fictional Franklins of all time: Franklin Richards
Not only that, but Franklin Richards is famous for his powers of distorting time and space as well as being telepathic. Franklin's governess was even named Agatha Harkness.
So, what if...Jack's dad was Franklin Richards?

Of course, since Jack, in real life, was named after Agatha, it makes more sense that the writers just read too much Fantastic Four, but that would make a great crackfic.
I thought Gray might be named after Jean Grey, but apparently, they're spelled different.

Date: 2008-07-17 03:24 am (UTC)Hehe, maybe the radiation that the Fantastic Four was exposed to was actually that thing from "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances" and they were remade into aliens? Franklin was remade into a Gallifreyian?
Ooh, Gray is actually Hyperstorm...
That's really interesting about the Celestials and Watchers.

Yep, that's my thinking. I'm actually kind of hoping we'll see Gray again in either the upcoming season of Torchwood or future ones. I'd like to know more about him :).
I thought so, too. Here are the links to the info about each race:

Date: 2008-07-17 01:16 pm (UTC)"Franklin Richards, a powerful mutant and son of Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman of the hero team Fantastic Four, had married Rachel Summers, a powerful mutant in her own right and daughter of Cyclops and Phoenix of the X-Men. The product of their union was the phenomenally powerful mutant Jonathan Reed Richards, who ultimately grew up to use his great power to take over the post-apocalyptic world he lived in, calling himself Hyperstorm."
That would make "Gray" the grandchild of Jean Grey!!!!!
Wtf?? This was Exit Wounds:
"In his most ambitious move, Hyperstorm snatched Mister Fantastic and his archenemy, Doctor Doom, from the moment of their deaths after a battle with an unknown alien entity, imprisoning Doom and exiling Mister Fantastic to a time period without technology."
Although if Hyperstorm is Gray, would that mean that Jack is Dream Summers?
