Torchwood a Bit
Jul. 24th, 2011 12:28 amI haven't heard the last two radio plays or all of the show from last night so...
I have one main thing to say about The Devil and Miss Carew
Tabby, Tabby! TABBY!!!!!
Now, despite my Passions viewership predating and exceeding Torchwood, I was still surprised at how happy I was to hear Juliet Mills again. If you aren't familiar with Passions, well, I wouldn't have been if not for Spike...
Yes, it was all William the Bloody's fault. If a frustrated vampire can like a soap opera, well, I figured...must be something special there. It did, at first...it had witches and curses and a talking doll and...you get the picture. As time went on, it got more normal but it was too late, I was hooked. It ended a few years ago and I didn't realize how much I'd missed it until her voice came on.
(sigh)
It just felt right and normal to have all three there.
Torchwood 4.02 aka Are we sure Jack's not pregnant?
Just saying, puking and looking horrible and drinking coke, that's my first response...but poison does make more sense, of course.
I'm going to assume that was the fever talking...The common cold's out to get you, sure...
Now if I hadn't been told this was Doris Egan's episode and had seen how we have to solve the case of how he was poisoned and how to cure him in an unusual way using a team of people...yeah, I think I could have guessed which episode was from a House alumnist.
Rex, I keep wanting to like you, but you're a dick...I just hope any softening or explanation doesn't take as long as Owen did. I hated Owen at first especially first season. It wasn't until the backstory with Katie that I saw how tragic and damaged he really was.
And then there's Esther, literally Tosh 2.0...
STOP MOONING OVER REX, ESTHER! It NEVER works!
Actually, I kind of ship her and Jack, apart from the implications with Gwen, they do remember that Jack isn't mutually exclusive with fucking guys right? Men, women, tentacle creatures?
Yes, I get people smoke but that doesn't mean I get to like it and that whole smoking exchange just seemed pointless. I guess I would get it a little better if we find out it's another bit like having a watch with no battery so you can ask people the time in order to have a conversation with them. However, at least when you're lying about a watch, you're not ruining your own health. I know no one can die anyone but this smoking isn't something new.
I still hate Oswald Danes and considering how much shit just the Casey Anthony jurors are going through...I don't find this realistic at all. He'd be lynched...repeatedly.
I admit it, I can understand stuff like how a baby can be part Time Lord or why two planets sharing an atmosphere is very, very bad but not the whole antibiotic humans as incubating germ farm stuff.
I liked Gwen a lot, being all concerned and yelling.
I did love the ending, I think that was my favorite part. It felt more like old times.

Am I the only one who thinks of the house in Blink (Wester Drumlins) every time someone says Esther Drummond?
